Wilderness Trails Zoo 10 Rules

By going to WTZOO, you agree to follow these rules:

1) Children under the age of 18 must have constant parental supervision within the zoo, giftshop and encounter. All encounters must be booked in advance via online only. Photos are allowed. Note: Zoo admission is required for the encounter, but is NOT included with the purchase of the encounter.

2) WTZOO is a smoke free environment for the safety of our guests and animals including any sort of smoking device.

3) You may bring in outside food and drinks. Alcohol is NOT permitted on the zoo’s premises. Outside food is NOT allowed to be given to any of our animals! Our animals are on very specific diets and giving them outside food can potentially make them ill. There is however, food provided at our feeding stations. Our feeding stations cost a quarter for one handful of feed. The feeding stations are in front of the animals that may be fed that specific food. Please do NOT take food from one station and carry it to feed other animals that are not near that feeding station.

4) Pets of any sorts are NOT allowed in the zoo. This is for your pet’s safety and the safety of our animals and guests. If you fail to follow this rule, you will be asked to immediately leave the zoo.

5) Do NOT make any attempts to bypass any barriers that block guests from entering any restricted area.

6) Do NOT make any attempt to pick up, chase, or run with our animals. By chasing or running along the fence with our animals it could potentially lead to harm. For instance, our ostriches like to follow people when they walk, if someone starts running along the fence with them, they could potentially run into the fence hurting themselves. We do not want any harm to come upon our beloved animals.

7) Roller skates, skateboards, hoverboards, bikes, etc. are NOT allowed within the zoo. Strollers, wagons, amigos and wheelchairs are allowed.

8) Shoes and shirts are required.

9) The lost and found is located in the giftshop. We will hold items for a maximum of two weeks. Please speak to the cashier for more information.
