Lowland Paca Encounter
Meet our curious, snack-loving pacas up close! Offer them snacks, enjoy opportunities to pet them, and don’t be surprised if they decide to climb onto you while exploring.
All minors under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult, no exceptions. Children MUST be at least 6 years old to participate.
All encounter guests must check in with the gift shop cashier upon arrival to sign waivers, receive wristbands, and get important information about their experience.
Encounter start times and duration may vary depending on the animal’s willingness to participate. Bookings made less than 24 hours in advance may be subject to a time change based on availability.
MEET BUGGS & WHOPPERS
Buggs and Whoppers believe the best introductions involve snacks. These two lowland pacas enjoy being petted and like to climb onto visitors while getting acquainted—so you might become part of their exploring!
With spotted coats and a taste for fruit, lowland pacas are forest-dwelling rodents native to Mexico, Central America and South America. This encounter gives you a chance to get to know Buggs and Whoppers at their own pace.
